Other Notes

LATS2 (Large Tumor Suppressor homolog 2) has been identified as a tumor suppressor protein and is a member of the Dbf2-related (NDR) family of protein kinases that are key components of the mitotic exit network. LATS2 appears to negatively regulate G2/M transitioning by down-regulating CDC2 kinase activity. LATS2 has also been identified as a negative regulator of the androgen receptor (AR) and may play a role in AR-mediated transcription and the development of prostate cancer.
