SEE ALSO...

CD38 Antibody (AT1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD38 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-CD38 antibody (AT1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD38 is a type II integral membrane glycoprotein predominantly expressed on early B and T cell lineages, activated B and T cells, and is notably absent from most mature resting peripheral lymphocytes. CD38 plays a crucial role in immune response regulation, acting as a NAD glycohydrolase that facilitates the activation, proliferation, and differentiation of mature T and B cells while also mediating apoptosis in myeloid and lymphoid progenitor cells. CD38 is involved in the production of calcium-mobilizing metabolites, such as cyclic adenosine diphosphate ribose (cADPR), which are vital for intracellular signaling pathways. CD38 contributes to the survival of invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells, a subset that is essential for maintaining immunological tolerance, highlighting its significance in both adaptive and innate immunity.
