CD37 Antibody (M-B372) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD37 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD37 (M-B372) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD37 protein is a member of the tetra-span transmembrane family, which includes other important proteins such as CD9, CD53, CD63, CD81, and CD82. These proteins are characterized by their four hydrophobic, membrane-spanning domains and play crucial roles in mediating signal transduction events that influence cell development, adhesion, activation, growth, and motility. CD37 is a cell surface glycoprotein that is strongly expressed on normal and neoplastic mature sIg+ B cells, while being present at lower levels on resting and activated T cells, neutrophils, granulocytes, and monocytes. Human CD37 gene is located on chromosome 19p13-q13.4 and encodes a 281 amino acid protein that can form complexes with integrins and other tetra-span transmembrane family proteins, potentially facilitating T-cell-B-cell interactions. Studies using transgenic mouse models lacking CD37 have shown no significant changes in the development and cellular composition of lymphoid organs, underscoring CD37′s role in immune system dynamics.
