CD1A Antibody (NA1/34) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a light chain antibody that detects CD1A in human samples through applications such as immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM). CD1A plays a crucial role in the immune system as a lipid antigen-presenting molecule, which is essential for the activation of T lymphocytes. CD1A is primarily located on the surface of Langerhans cells, a specialized type of dendritic cell found in the skin, where CD1A is involved in the recognition and presentation of lipid antigens to T cells. CD1A expression on these cells is particularly important for initiating immune responses to lipid-based pathogens, thereby influencing the body′s ability to respond to infections and maintain immune homeostasis. Additionally, CD1A serves as a marker for Langerhans cell histiocytosis, a rare disorder characterized by the proliferation of Langerhans cells, highlighting CD1A′s significance in both normal immune function and disease states. Anti-CD1A antibody (NA1/34) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying immune responses, dendritic cell biology, and related pathologies.
