    SEE ALSO...

CD1A Antibody (NA1/34-HLK) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects CD1A in human samples through applications such as immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM). CD1A is a crucial member of the CD1 multigene family, which encodes five forms of the CD1 T-cell surface glycoprotein, and plays a significant role in the immune system by presenting lipid antigens to T lymphocytes. CD1A protein is primarily located on the surface of Langerhans cells, a specialized type of dendritic cell found in the skin, where CD1A is essential for the recognition of lipid-based antigens and the activation of T cells. CD1A expression on these cells is particularly important for the immune response to certain pathogens and for the development of Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH), a condition characterized by the proliferation of Langerhans cells. CD1A′s interaction with adaptor-protein complexes and chaperones is vital for proper trafficking and function, ensuring that lipid antigens are effectively presented to T cells. The human CD1 genes, including CD1A, are closely linked in a cluster on chromosome 1q23.1, highlighting their evolutionary significance and functional interdependence. Anti-CD1A antibody (NA1/34-HLK) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying immune responses and related disorders, providing insights into the complex mechanisms of antigen presentation and T cell activation.
