SEE ALSO...

NF-L Antibody (3F285) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects neurofilament light polypeptide (NF-L) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). NF-L is a crucial component of the neuronal cytoskeleton, playing a significant role in maintaining the structural integrity of neurons. NF-L (3F285) antibody targets proteins primarily located in the axons of neurons, where NF-L contributes to the regulation of axon caliber and overall stability of the neuronal architecture. Proper functioning of NF-L is vital for neuronal health, as alterations in expression or phosphorylation status can lead to neurodegenerative diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson′s disease, and Alzheimer′s disease. The dynamic nature of neurofilaments, which includes their ability to interact with other cytoskeletal elements like microtubules and actin filaments, underscores their importance in neuronal function and signaling. Anti-NF-L antibody (3F285) serves as an essential tool for researchers investigating the role of neurofilaments in health and disease, providing insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration and potential therapeutic targets.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with NF-L (3F285): sc-71678?

Asked by: Cweed
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
