SEE ALSO...

Enolase Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Enolase in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Enolase antibody (A-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Enolase is a crucial enzyme in the glycolytic pathway, facilitating the conversion of 2-phosphoglycerate to phosphoenolpyruvate, which is a key step in energy production. This enzyme exists in three isoforms: α enolase, β enolase, and γ enolase, each with distinct tissue distribution and functional roles. α enolase is widely expressed across various tissues, β enolase is predominantly found in muscle tissue, and γ enolase is primarily localized in the nervous system. The structural versatility of these isoforms, which can form both homodimers and heterodimers, underscores their importance in metabolic processes and cellular differentiation. α enolase shares significant homology with yeast enolase and is encoded by the same gene as tau-crystallin, a structural protein in the lens, highlighting its evolutionary conservation and functional significance in both metabolic and structural contexts.

How can Enolase (A-5): sc-271384 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: Germaine
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to HRP (sc-271384 HRP), phycoerythrin (sc-271384 PE), fluoroscein (sc-271384 FITC) and AlexaFluors.
