SEE ALSO...

CYP1A1 Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CYP1A1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CYP1A1 antibody (B-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CYP1A1 is a member of the cytochrome P450 family of enzymes, which play a crucial role in metabolizing diverse endogenous compounds, such as hormones and fatty acids, as well as xenobiotics, including drugs and environmental toxins. Proper functioning of CYP1A1 is vital for detoxifying harmful substances and maintaining metabolic homeostasis, making CYP1A1 an important target for studying drug metabolism and toxicology. CYP1A1 is primarily located in the endoplasmic reticulum of liver cells, where CYP1A1 catalyzes substrate oxidation, highlighting CYP1A1′s significance in hepatic metabolism. Understanding CYP1A1 expression and regulation can provide insights into individual variations in drug response and susceptibility to toxic compounds, underscoring CYP1A1′s importance in pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine.

Can we use this product in chickens as immunohistochemical paraffine embedded tissue?

Asked by: burak
Thank you for your question. We do not recommend this mouse monoclonal, CYP1A1 Antibody (B-4): sc-25304, for detection of CYP1A1 in samples of chicken origin. The antibody is recommended for IHC(P), or immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections of mouse, rat and human origin.

Is this antibody available directly conjugated to HRP?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. All requests for directly conjugated versions of this antibody should be directed to our Special Orders team at specialorders@scbt.com Alternatively, consider using CYP1A1 (A-9): sc-393979 for CYP1A1 antibody conjugates, including AC, HRP, FITC, PE, Alexa Fluor® 488 and Alexa Fluor® 647.
