SEE ALSO...

Blood Group Lewis b Antibody (2-25LE) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects the Lewis b blood group antigen of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Anti-Lewis b antibody (2-25LE) is available in a non-conjugated form, providing flexibility for various experimental setups. The Lewis b antigen plays a crucial role in cell-cell interactions and is essential for proper immune response and cellular communication. Lewis b antigen is primarily located on the surface of red blood cells and other cell types, where Lewis b serves as a recognition site for selectins, which are important for leukocyte trafficking and adhesion during immune responses. The presence of Lewis b antigen on cell surfaces is vital for the regulation of these processes, as Lewis b influences how cells interact with one another and with the extracellular matrix. Additionally, Lewis b antigen is involved in the modulation of inflammatory responses, making Lewis b a significant target for studies related to immunology and hematology. Understanding the function and distribution of Lewis b antigen can provide insights into various pathological conditions, including blood group incompatibilities and certain diseases where cell adhesion plays a pivotal role.
