SEE ALSO...

LRP6 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects LRP6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-LRP6 antibody (C-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LRP6 plays a crucial role in mediating Wnt/β-catenin signaling, a pathway essential for numerous developmental processes such as body axis patterning, central nervous system development, limb formation, and organogenesis. This signaling pathway is vital for maintaining cellular functions and tissue homeostasis, and dysregulation of LRP6 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and metabolic disorders. The human LRP6 gene is located on chromosome 12p13.2 and encodes a protein characterized by a unique arrangement of four epidermal growth factor (EGF) repeats and three low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) repeats in its extracellular domain, which are critical for its interaction with Wnt ligands. LRP6 monoclonal antibody (C-10) enables researchers to gain valuable insights into the mechanisms of Wnt signaling and its implications in health and disease.

It says the antibody is targeted against aa 1314-1613 - this spans across the extracellular and intracellular portion of the protein. I need an antibody that recognises the extracellular domain - should this antibody be suitable?

I want to stain my mouse tissue samples. How can I do this using a mouse monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: Cweed
We recommend using a directly conjugated antibody. This product, sc-25317, is available directly conjugated to FITC, AF488, and AF647.
