MEK-2 Antibody (A-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody, engineered to detect Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase Kinase 2 (MEK-2), also known as MAP2K2, in mouse, rat, and human samples. MEK-2 monoclonal antibody (A-1) targets an epitope mapping between amino acids 6-25 at the N-terminus of human MEK-2, ensuring precise and reliable binding across various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin embedded sections (IHC-P), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MEK-2 plays a critical role in the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway, functioning as a dual-specificity kinase that phosphorylates and activates ERK1/2, which are essential for regulating cell division, differentiation, and survival. The proper functioning of MEK-2 is vital for normal cellular processes and its dysregulation is implicated in various cancers and other diseases, making accurate detection important for both research and clinical diagnostics. MEK-2 monoclonal antibody (A-1) is available in both conjugated and unconjugated forms, including conjugates with agarose, HRP, PE, FITC, and multiple Alexa Fluor® dyes, providing versatility for different experimental setups and detection systems. MEK-2 monoclonal antibody (A-1) is recommended for researchers studying signal transduction, cancer biology, and therapeutic development.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HighlyThis monoclonal antibody was independently tested in-house by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and validated for use for Western blotting. There was very strong detection of the ~47 kDa target protein in mouse tissues (brain/testes/thymus/muscle mix). No major cross-reactivities were observed at 2 µg/ml antibody concentration with off-target proteins in the mouse tissues tested, but the antibody seems to pick up a slightly lower molecular mass protein that is the same size as MEK1.
