Lyn Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the Lyn protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHCP, and ELISA. Lyn (H-6) monoclonal antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Lyn protein, a member of the Src family of non-receptor tyrosine kinases, plays a crucial role in regulating cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis, making Lyn vital for normal immune function and hematopoiesis. Located predominantly in hematopoietic tissues, Lyn is essential for the development and regulation of B cells and T cells, influencing immunoglobulin production and signaling pathways that govern immune responses. The human Lyn gene, which maps to chromosome 8q12, encodes a 505 amino acid protein that is typically maintained in an inactive state and can be activated during cellular events like mitosis, highlighting Lyn′s importance in cell cycle regulation and immune system functionality.
