p-AR Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ser 308 phosphorylated Androgen Receptor (p-AR) of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p-AR (E-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Androgen Receptor (AR) plays a crucial role in mediating androgen effects, which are vital for male reproductive physiology and secondary sexual characteristics development and maintenance. AR resides primarily in target cell cytoplasm and nucleus, translocating to the nucleus upon androgen binding to function as a transcription factor regulating gene expression. Nuclear localization enables AR to modulate genes involved in male development and reproductive function. AR binding to testosterone and dihydrotestosterone with different kinetics influences physiological responses, as testosterone′s rapid association and dissociation rates compared to dihydrotestosterone lead to distinct biological outcomes.
