HNF-3α Antibody (Q-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects HNF-3α in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-HNF-3α antibody (Q-6) is available in a non-conjugated form and plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression within the hepatocyte nuclear factor family, which includes HNF-1, HNF-3, HNF-4, and HNF-6. HNF-3α is primarily located in the nucleus, where HNF-3α functions as a transcription factor that regulates the expression of genes essential for liver function and development. This nuclear localization enables HNF-3α to directly influence the transcriptional activity of target genes involved in metabolic processes, thereby impacting overall liver health and function. HNF-3α is implicated in critical developmental processes, such as gastrulation, where HNF-3α contributes to body axis formation. The interaction of HNF-3α with other members of the HNF family underscores HNF-3α′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating metabolic pathways, making HNF-3α a significant focus for research in liver biology and related diseases.

I would like to use HNF-3α (Q-6): sc-101058 for double staining with another mouse monoclonal primary antibody. Is this possible?

Thank you for your question. In cases like this, we recommend using our directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibodies. Currently, sc-101058 is not available directly conjugated, but we have an alternative HNF-3α antibody (sc-514695) that is available conjugated to HRP, FITC, PE, Alexa Fluor® 488 and Alexa Fluor® 647.
