ArgRS Antibody (ZB-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects ArgRS protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ArgRS antibody (ZB-12) is available as the non-conjugated isotype antibody. Arginyl-tRNA synthetase (ArgRS), also known as RARS or DALRD1, is a crucial enzyme in the protein synthesis process, responsible for the accurate attachment of the amino acid arginine to its corresponding tRNA. This function is vital because it ensures the fidelity of protein translation, which is essential for maintaining cellular function and overall organismal health. ArgRS is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where ArgRS operates as a monomer but can also interact with other tRNA synthetases and auxiliary proteins to form a multisubunit complex, enhancing catalytic efficiency. ArgRS activity is dependent on the presence of ATP, arginine, and tRNA, as ArgRS catalyzes the formation of arginine-tRNA(Arg) at its active site. Notably, two cytoplasmic forms of ArgRS have been identified in mammals, distinguished by a 73 amino acid sequence that is critical for the assembly of the multisubunit complex, highlighting ArgRS structural diversity and regulatory mechanisms in cellular processes.
