Results were interpolated from the standard curve in Sample Diluent 50BS and corrected for sample dilution (1:2). The mean level of GRO alpha is 66.8 pg/mL with a standard deviation of 108.1 pg/mL. Donor 6 had undetectable levels of GRO alpha. Of the other donors, the level of GRO alpha ranged from 3.3 pg/mL – 365.0 pg/mL.

Human PBMCs were cultured in RPMI supplemented with 10% fetal calf serum, 2 mM L-glutamine, 100 U/mL penicillin and 100 µg/mL streptomycin. Cells were cultured for 2 days at 37˚C in the presence or absence of PHA. The concentrations of GRO alpha were interpolated from the standard curve in Sample Diluent NS and corrected for sample dilution (1:4). The mean GRO alpha concentration was determined to be undetectable in basal media, 313.5 pg/mL in unstimulated PBMC supernatants, and 412.0 pg/mL in stimulated PBMC supernatants.
